"It is with sad hearts that CDK announces the passing of walker balance Laddie. Laddie passed away early Monday morning on April 18, 2011 at home with Kristin. He was 12 years old.

Laddie had long worked as assistance dog and partner to Kristin Hartness Law, providing her with greater independence over her disability and providing demonstrations to help educate students, business professionals and parents about the value of assistance dogs. He inspired some to apply for assistance dogs to help them and others to support teams like him and Kristin in communities all over the country.

He even helped to train his replacement before he settled into his retirement.
It can truly be said that Laddie gave all he had to make the world a little better.
Laddie was a special dog who touched and altered the lives of many people. While his void will be felt most sharply by Kristin, he will be missed by many.
