State Representative Job Description
• Give information about CDK over the telephone and/or by email. CDK will provide a separate ring on your phone line to allow for professional manner when answering. CDK can also provide an email address, which can be accessed through the web. You may list your personal email if you prefer. The majority of calls come between September and December; during active pledging periods of the work campaign.
• Make public presentations at workplace giving kickoffs and other media events. CDK will provide information to help with scripted talks, PowerPoint presentation and/or a video (still in development), which could be used to promote the organization. You will need to locate most of the opportunities in your state.
• Speak with potential clients about CDK, and assist in video interview process. More information about the video interview will be provided on a client-by-client basis
• Marketing for possible clients and donors in your area. CDK will provide information on campaigns as they develop
• Attend 1 training annually at our headquarters in Princeton MA. CDK will pay travel expenses. The November date is scheduled with the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors.
• Attend 2 events annually in your state to promote the education of the general public. Health fair booth, talks, etc.
• Record all contacts you have with media or individuals and all events attended on behalf of CDK. Submit a report to the main officer, which includes activities from July 1 st – June 30 th . This report should be received in the main office by the end of June. This information is needed when filling out applications for state and federal campaigns, along with some applications for private grants.
